Our Score Methodology

The Blue Goji Cognitive Score and Reflex Score are designed by Blue Goji.  They are not affiliated with any third party and are not based upon a known cognitive or health scoring system or other standard.  These scores and our calculation methodologies have not been verified for accuracy or significance in measuring your cognitive health, reaction time or wellness.

The Blue Goji Cognitive Score is based upon how well you are doing in our games and is calculated by weighing three performance components of a game: (1) correctness of response, (2) accuracy of response and (3) speed or reaction time.  Those metrics depend on different elements occurring within a game.  For our assessment gamelets, those elements are based upon known methods previously defined within a clinical environment.

The Blue Goji Reflex Score is calculated by weighing three types of reaction times to different stimuli within a game.  If a visual stimuli, we define a visual reaction time.  Likewise for auditory and motor.

Inherent with the Score calculations may be certain biases, such as in the selection or weighting of factors, the relevance of the chosen factors, or the actual calculation methodology.  For instance, with respect to our assessments gamelets, there may be biases due to the manner in which we deliver these assessments (eg, via our game portals on our bikes vs on a piece of paper).  For our training gamelets, we have defined those elements, which elements to select and how to score such elements, and as such will be biased based upon those determinations.   With respect to the Reflex Score, within a game, visual, auditory and motor stimuli are so entrenched and tied together, we have used our discretion in determining which elements to measure and how to weigh those elements, and as such have certain biases.

Score performance through use of Blue Goji Products is not indicative of cognitive health and not predictive of future performance or medical conditions.
